Assigning permissions for new field



After creating your new field via the Schema, you will need to assign permissions to a Group to grant access to this field.

This can be done by navigating to the Groups page via the Admin area:

 

From the Groups page, you should select the Group you wish to grant Permissions to. Once you have found this Group, you should select the "Permissions" Action.



Once on the Permissions page, you should change the top left action, so that you are "Showing Access Points for: [selected entity type]"



Then select "Add Field Access Points" so that you can add the newly created field into this Groups Permissions. Selecting this will open a dialog containing all fields that the chosen group do not currently have access to. Find the newly created field, and select "Add."



This will move the field into the list of Field Access Points, located in the middle table. You can use the search bar at the top left to locate the newly added field. Once you have located the newly added field, you can edit the groups access to the field using the radio buttons located on the right hand side of the table. 


Once the permissions have been assigned, select "Save" on the left hand side of the page to save your changes.
