How do I add a field?

From your main page click on Admin

This will show a list of the entities- click on the cross to expand the entity and then right click on Columns and then click on New Column

You can then complete the properties of your new field and click on Create. Please Note that your field name needs to be alphanumeric, with no spaces

Field Name - The name of the field you are creating.

Display Name - The name that will be displayed when viewing this field on the chosen entity. 

Description - The information entered here will be displayed inside tool tips around the site.

Data Type:

True or False:
   Display Template:  
  •   TrueOrFalse - Values can only be True or False.
  •   TrueOrFalseOrNone - Values can only be True, False or Empty
Integer [Small]
   Display Template:    
  • Integer - Only whole numbers between -32,768 and 32,767 are allowed in this column
Integer 
   Display Template:    
  • Integer - Only whole numbers between -2,147,483,648 and 2,147,483,657 are allowed in this column
Integer [Large]
   Display Template:    
  • Integer - Only whole numbers between -9,223,372,036,854,775,808 and 9,223,372,036,853,775,808 are allowed in this column 
Money 
   Display Template:    
  • Money - Precise values to 4 decimal places and must be between -922, 337,203,685,477.5808 and 922,337,203,685,477.5808
Decimal [2dp]
   Display Template:    
  • Decimal - Precise values to 2 decimal places and must be between -9,999,999,999,999,999.99 and 9,999,999,999,999,999.99
Decimal [4dp]
  Display Template:    
  • Decimal - Precise values to 4 decimal places and must be between -99,999,999,999,999.9999 and 99,999,999,999,999.9999
Date
  Display Template:  
  • Date - Date range between January 1, 0001 through December 31, 9999 (Uses Date Picker) 
  • MonthDay-  Date range between January 1, 0001 through December 31, 9999 (Does not use Date Picker)
Date and Time
   Display Template:
  • Date - Date range is between January 1, 1753 00:00:00 through December 31, 9999 23:59:59
  • DateTime -  Date range is between January 1, 1753 00:00:00 through December 31, 9999 23:59:59
Text [Short]
   Display Template:
  • Text - Any text up to 200 characters in length
  •  Multi line - Any text up to 200 characters in length 
  • Multi line full width - Any text up to 200 characters in length 
  • Multi line no label - Any text up to 200 characters in length
Text
  Display template:
  • Text - Any text up to 500 characters in length
  • Multi line - Any text up to 500 characters in length 
  • Multi line full width - Any text up to 500 characters in length 
  • Multi line no label - Any text up to 500 characters in length 
Text [Long]
   Display template:  
  • Text - Any text up to 1000 characters in length
  • Multi line -  Any text up to 1000 characters in length
  • Multi line full width -  Any text up to 1000 characters in length
  • Multi line no label -  Any text up to 1000 characters in length
Text [Unlimited]
   Display template:
  • Text - Any text of unlimited length
  • Multi line - Any text of unlimited length 
  • Multi line full width - Any text of unlimited length 
  • Multi line no label - Any text of unlimited length      
Lookup
   Display template:  
  • Lookup - A list of values
  • MonthDaySet- A list of values 
Multi-value Lookup
   Display template:
  • MultiLookup - A list of values where more than one value can be selected at a time
Decimal [6dp]
   Display template:
  • Decimal - Precise value to 6 decimal places and must be between -99,999,999,999,999.9999 and 99,999,999,999,999.9999
Delimiter
    Display template:  
  • Delimiter - Values separated by delimiters
  • Delimiter full width - Values separated by delimiters
  • Delimiter no label - Values separated by delimiters 
Entity Lookup
   Display template:
  • Entity Lookup - A list of entities where one or more can be selected at a time

Entity Lookup source -
  • All Share Classes
  • Fund Share Classes
Path -  This will dictate how your field will appear in the field selector dialog

Supports Variations By:
  • Language - Allows you to save a value against a language
  • Currency - Allows you to save a value against a currency. 
  • Distribution Language - Allows you to save a value against a Distribution language. 

You will then get an notification at the top of your page letting you know that you have successfully created a new field

To view your new field, go back to the selected entity and then click on Columns, and your field will appear in the list
